When life has run you over and you are critically wounded, where is the emergency room for your heart? A person can’t go to the hospital for a broken heart, for a destroyed life or emotional pain that throbs without ceasing. There is no modern medical facility for any of these types of sufferings. Some may even say that they hurt more than physical pain.
But there IS a place where your heart can receive emergency care and treatment. The recovery rate is better than any medical treatment available—it’s 200%- you not only are healed but you are a BETTER more IMPROVED person you have ever been.
And you don’t need to travel anywhere to get healed, wherever you are, you can be treated on the spot. Some people worry that they don’t have health insurance and they can’t afford the cost—but it’ s FREE. Can you even THINK of a better deal than that? I sure can’t. Oh, and any follow up treatments or counseling is offered for your life-time and at no monetary cost.
How could this be so good? Well, it’s Jesus. He is our Healer, Redeemer, Counselor, Father and Friend. Just think about the names Jesus was given upon His birth…Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
I don’t know about you, but those names are all names of a person that I want to be cared for by. God has designed every inch of us, and knows ALL things about us. What a comfort that is! Deep down, I think that is one of the most desperate questions we have, “do you really know me?” and that is immediately followed by “do you love me, even knowing all that you know?”
Look at the healing and loving words God has for those who hearts are in critical condition.
Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Luke 5:31 And Jesus answered and said to them, "It is not those who are well who need a physician, but those who are sick.”
(PS: If you are alive right now, you need to be healed from SOME wound that Satan has attempted to destroy you with. It’s not a question of DO you need healing, but a question of CAN you admit you NEED the healing that only Jesus Christ offers?).
Matthew 8:16 When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick;
Psalm 34:18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Now you know where to take your heart when you need emergency treatment, no ambulance required, no waiting room to cause you more anguish, just get down on your knees and call upon your Father. He is there, He knows you are reading this blog right now. I just LOVE that! Don’t you?!
I’m praying for healing for your hearts, the peace of God that transcends understanding, and for God’s love to fill our cup so much that it overflows!

ReplyDeleteYou always know exactly what to say that speaks directly to my heart! I need him so much, you never really realize how much you need him until you open yourself up to him just a little and that's all it takes! Like you said with some of the thing I have done, I feel like I am not worthy and I am ashamed. I want God to feel proud of me and not like I am a failure. I know he could never feel like towards any of his children but the feeling stays. I'm sorry I am writing all of this, I just had to get it out somehow and I feel like you could help.

Rachel-we are ALL emotional people! And I love how honest and real you are! One of the best things about God is that He already knows everything we've done and He even knows ALL that we will do in the future- nothing surprises him. Don't let Satan's lies, that you are somehow a "failure" get your focus off Jesus. Satan always wants us to forget God and focus on ANYTHING else--Satan wins this way because God doesn't have our attention. Don't attempt to be perfect, no person IS perfect except God Himself. I am praying that the grace of God washes over you and that your heart and mind are at peace because God has made you and His grace is what allows us to be free from our sin.
ReplyDeleteOf course, if you've done something and need to ask God to forgive you- then the guilt you feel is probably the Holy Spirit, at work in your heart. That's a good thing!
Just don't get that confused with trying to have "perfect" life. This is impossible and only leads to frustration. Good advice on living life...Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him (Dr. Charles Stanley).

Thanks Tiff, I really needed this.My family is so broken.My parents aren't divorced or anything. It's that my brother's condition is breaking us all down.My mom is almost constantly in tears and my dad won't comfort her.I try to but she pushes me away. She tells me that God is out to get her and if he doesn't heal my brother when she wants him to, she becomes so hopeless. She used to say I was the only hopeful person in the family,and that it gave her hope; but now she acts like my hope and joy through Jesus is annoying and is interrupting her misery. We all(my family & I) we all need the Heart er right now. I feel like I am the only one whos knows I need it though.

Rebecca- My heart goes out to you. It's really hard to see the people you love in so much pain and also walking away from the One who can heal ALL pain, our Lord. I am praying for your family, I hope that brings comfort to know I am here and going to God for you as well. We all need prayerful friends! I encourage you to walk throughout your house and claim Jesus, just say "This house belongs to Jesus and Satan you must go, go to the feet of Jesus." I do this too, so don't think I'm telling you to do something strange or weird. There is a spiritual battle waging and it sounds as though you are the only one who can command victory right now. Don't let your heart be troubled, God is with you, He loves you and He knows all that is happening in your family. Sending you a big hug!
